Our Sensory Dining Room
After years of working as a Mental Health Nurse with diverse vulnerable groups, Nicki (The Nurse) insisted that a separate space be set aside to welcome families who struggle to find somewhere to eat together as a family outside of the home. The result is 'The Lady Poppy Anna Sensory Dining Suite', and here you will find a quieter, gentler corner beautifully lit with sensory lights, rope lights, bubble tubes, and seating arrangements that suit our neurodivergent guests.
By providing this space, we truly hope to reduce the likelihood of autistic or other 'meltdowns' - but we can assure you that if, despite our best efforts, anyone does become overwhelmed then they will be met with understanding and not judgement. By providing this safe space, we hope any families finding difficulty to be accommodated when eating out can relax knowing that they are amongst friends here.
Can you help us?
We are always looking to improve our offer to the much neglected and underfunded neurodivergent community. All profits from our tearoom go towards funding help and assistance for those struggling with red-tape & formal processes that benefits, elderly care home funding, and Special Educational Needs (SEN) entail.
We would dearly love to further equip our sensory dining area with even more technology designed to make the world a kinder place for families affected by autism, ADHD, and other conditions. Donations, either financial or of equipment would be gratefully received and applied to the benefit of neurodivergent guests.

Groups & Hire
Each week, we host groups for families with full access to our magical sensory room, for guests of all ages. Carers have full access to the sensory room at no extra cost, and are also welcome to relax in our gorgeous Victorian Tearoom.
As more sensory facilities are so desperately needed in the Northamptonshire area, we are always eager to provide ours for private hire parties & bookings (alongside our community events)!
Individual Sensory Room Hire:
£6 for 30 minutes
£10 for 1 hour
Group of 5 Sensory Room Hire:
£25 for 30 minutes
£40 for 1 hour
Prices for varying group sizes can be discussed.
Drinks & Biscuits are included with all private hire Sensory Dining Room bookings, and additional cakes, snacks, and other refreshments are available for purchase.
If coming to us for Bottomless Brunch or an Afternoon Tea, your table is welcome to sit in and use the Sensory Dining Room at no extra cost.
