Join The Lawyer & The Nurse for a practical live workshop designed to help families understand the NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) process.

Please note: this is a live workshop only. The session is not recorded and recordings will not be shared afterwards, as attendees may discuss personal circumstances during the live session.

This workshop is for individuals and families applying for care funding, supporting a loved one, or trying to understand whether CHC may apply.

You’ll learn:

• How the CHC assessment process works

• What the Decision Support Tool (DST) is and how it is used

• How the four key indicators are considered: nature, intensity, complexity and unpredictability

• What evidence matters when building a strong case

• Common mistakes and challenges families face

• How to prepare more confidently for assessments and meetings

The session is led by Nicki Slawson, a Mental Health Nurse specialising in care assessments, and Adam Cresswell, a lawyer with expertise in health and welfare.

There will also be time for live Q&A, so you can ask questions relevant to your own situation.

This workshop is practical, supportive and designed to make the CHC process feel clearer and more manageable.
