Fast Tracking

Care Fees & Continuing Healthcare (CIC): Welcome

If the applicant for Continuing Healthcare Funding has a Rapidly Declining Condition or an end of life prognosis you can ask someone involved in their care to complete the request for funding under the rules known as ‘Fast Track’.

Any clinician (a nurse, GP, Consultant) can complete a Fast track application. Evidence of your terminal illness and your end of life prognosis should be gathered by your local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group in order to complete the application.

If you are found to be eligible for fast track funding, your care provisions should be put in place within 48 hours of the application being received by the Clinical Commissioning Group.
